This radio exists in 2 versions. It uses an 85 as a detector. The model of the first series uses a 6B7 and a second 42 as a power amp BF.

Special use of lamps: The 42 is not the BF output tube but serves as an amplifier for a tuning indicator bulb. (Visual Tuning Indicator pre Eye) 

The N41 is the BF power output tube.
